By accessing or using CiteCube (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • “Service” refers to the CiteCube LLM Citation Tracker platform and all related services
  • “User,” “you,” “your” refers to individuals or entities using the Service
  • “Content” refers to any data, text, queries, or materials you submit to the Service
  • “AI Providers” refers to third-party artificial intelligence services (OpenAI, Perplexity)
  • “Citations” refers to domain references extracted from AI model responses
  • “Brand Tracking” refers to monitoring of specified brand mentions in AI responses

3. Service Description

CiteCube provides:

  • Analysis of how AI language models cite and reference domains
  • Brand mention tracking and sentiment analysis
  • Competitive intelligence through citation pattern analysis
  • AI-powered query generation and content optimization
  • Export and reporting capabilities

The Service utilizes third-party AI providers to process queries and generate insights.

4. Account Registration and Management

4.1 Registration Requirements

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • One account per individual or organization
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security

4.2 Account Approval

  • New accounts require administrator approval before activation
  • CiteCube reserves the right to reject any registration
  • Approval decisions are at our sole discretion

4.3 Account Security

  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must immediately notify us of unauthorized access
  • We are not liable for losses due to compromised credentials

5. Subscription Plans and Features

5.1 Available Plans

  • Free Plan: Limited queries, basic features
  • Professional Plan: Enhanced features, AI query generation, unlimited queries
  • Enterprise Plan: Custom limits, priority support, advanced features

5.2 Feature Limitations

  • Query limits reset monthly based on billing cycle
  • Feature access determined by subscription tier
  • Overages may result in service restrictions

5.3 Plan Changes

  • Upgrades take effect immediately
  • Downgrades take effect at next billing cycle
  • Feature access adjusts according to new plan

6. Acceptable Use Policy

6.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for:

  • Legitimate SEO and marketing research
  • Brand monitoring and competitive analysis
  • Content strategy development
  • Academic or journalistic research

6.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT:

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service beyond API limits
  • Submit malicious queries or attempt to manipulate AI responses
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Use the Service to harm, harass, or defame others
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits or security measures

7. AI Services and Third-Party Integration

7.1 Third-Party AI Providers

  • The Service uses OpenAI and Perplexity APIs to process queries
  • Your queries are subject to these providers’ terms and policies
  • We are not responsible for third-party service availability or accuracy

7.2 AI Model Limitations

  • AI responses may contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies
  • Citation data is extracted from AI outputs and may be incomplete
  • Results should be verified independently
  • Models and capabilities may change without notice

7.3 Cost Tracking

  • Each query incurs costs based on the selected AI model
  • Costs range from approximately $0.01 to $0.50 per query
  • We track and optimize API usage to minimize costs
  • Excessive usage may result in account restrictions

8. Payment Terms

8.1 Billing

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance
  • Billing cycles are monthly or annual
  • All fees are in USD unless otherwise specified
  • Taxes may apply based on your location

8.2 Payment Processing

  • Payments are processed by Stripe
  • We do not store credit card information
  • You authorize automatic renewal of subscriptions
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

8.3 Refunds

  • No refunds for partial billing periods
  • Refunds may be issued at our discretion for service issues
  • Annual plans are non-refundable after 14 days
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days

8.4 Price Changes

  • We may modify prices with 30 days notice
  • Price changes apply at next renewal
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance of new prices

9. Intellectual Property Rights

9.1 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of queries and input data
  • You grant us license to process Content through the Service
  • We may use aggregated, anonymized data for improvements

9.2 CiteCube Property

  • The Service, including algorithms and interfaces, is our property
  • “CiteCube” and related marks are our trademarks
  • You may not use our intellectual property without permission

9.3 AI-Generated Content

  • Output from AI models may not be unique to you
  • We make no claims of ownership over AI outputs
  • You are responsible for how you use generated content

10. Privacy and Data Protection

10.1 Data Collection

We collect:

  • Account information (email, password)
  • Usage data (queries, analysis parameters)
  • Citation and brand tracking results
  • Billing information (via Stripe)

10.2 Data Isolation

  • User data is completely isolated between accounts
  • No sharing of queries or results between users
  • Project data is private to your account

10.3 Data Retention

  • Active account data retained while account is active
  • Deleted accounts have data removed within 90 days
  • Aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

11.1 Service Availability

  • The Service is provided “as is” without warranties
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary unavailability

11.2 Accuracy Disclaimer

  • AI-generated results may be inaccurate or incomplete
  • Citation extraction is not guaranteed to be comprehensive
  • Brand sentiment analysis is algorithmic and may have errors

11.3 Limitation of Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid in the last 12 months
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for third-party service failures

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at end of billing period
  • No refunds for unused time

12.2 Termination by CiteCube

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Suspicious or fraudulent activity
  • Extended inactivity

12.3 Effect of Termination

  • Access to the Service ceases immediately
  • Data may be deleted after 30 days
  • Paid fees are non-refundable
  • Provisions surviving termination remain in effect

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CiteCube harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Infringement of any rights
  • Your Content or activities

14. General Provisions

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation
  • If unresolved, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration
  • Small claims court actions are permitted

14.3 Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms at any time
  • Material changes will be notified via email
  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

14.4 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in effect.

14.5 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CiteCube.

14.6 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations.

14.7 Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays due to circumstances beyond reasonable control.
